eSanjeevani – The National Telemedicine platform introduced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the light of Covid-19 to provide free consultation to rural population. This platform will address the shortage of doctors and specialists at ground level. TeleMed KG is primarily for children with disabilities who fail to have elementary access to quality healthcare services. Using telemedicine, the organizations connected with this project seek to lower barriers to healthcare for women and children, especially children with disabilities. Stigma, lack of awareness, travelling and associated out of pocket costs for long term care makes it difficult for mothers and children with disabilities to access care.
