Dr. Soumyadipta Acharya
Board President / Co-Founder
Soumyadipta Acharya is the Graduate Program Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design (CBID) and an Assistant Research Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the chief architect of a new graduate program in bioengineering innovation and design. He also runs a program in global medical technology innovation, which focuses on developing appropriate healthcare technologies for public health interventions worldwide. He has been involved in the invention and early-stage development of several diagnostic and therapeutic technologies aimed at reduction of maternal and neonatal mortality in developing countries. Several of these innovations have received funding from USAID and other agencies and are in preliminary field studies in South Asia and East Africa.
KB Teo

K.B. is a seasoned entrepreneurial business leader with more than 15 years of experience in product, product marketing, business strategy, user acquisition and growth, digital (and social) marketing, e-commerce, social commerce and leading edge e-commerce technology solutions. K.B. has founded two companies; she has also worked for startups that were acquired. For 5 years, K.B. led teams as a Project Leader for Boston Consulting Group. She has advised multiple non-profits including Roam 7 (Social travel startup), Kidfully (Community website for families), CUESA (Runs one of the top 10 farmer’s markets in the world, the SF Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market. Support local, sustainable farmers at the Farmer’s market at the Ferry Building every Saturday morning) and SEALNet. (Non-profit running service leadership projects in Southeast Asia. Past projects include working with children with AIDS in Thailand and deworming in the Philippines, a main cause for student absenteeism and everyday pain.) Born in Singapore, KB has a degree in accounting and finance from Nanyang Technological University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Shyam Kaluve

Shyam Kaluve is currently Co-Founder and CTO at Gramonnati – an early-stage social enterprise startup focusing on developing rural entrepreneurs and equipping them with knowledge, leadership skills, and technology to develop products/solutions for the rural communities. An expert in developing products in the computer networking industry, he has held various leadership roles in technology and management. He has designed, developed, and led development of innovative software/systems protocols for product families that achieved billion dollar run rate at Cisco Enterprise Switching and Routing groups. He worked at Cisco for 18 years and is a graduate of IIT Kanpur.
Dr. Harshad Sanghvi

Following a 20-year clinical and academic career in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Kenya, Harshad Sanghvi spent 2 decades assisting 45 countries adopt evidence-based guidelines, design training systems, develop health champions and seek innovative solutions to improve the performance of health care for women. His team developed the single visit approach for cervical cancer prevention, now practiced in 30 countries. In 2009, he received the Global Health Council’s best practices award for his work in preventing postpartum hemorrhage at homebirth, now practiced in 45 countries. He holds the prestigious Honorary Fellowship of the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology following his work with FOGSI is expanding EMOC. He has
conceptualized, developed and deployed several disruptive health technologies. He recently retired as VP and chief medical officer for Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University and now serves in an emeritus position.
Rekha Pal Kamath

Rekha Pai Kamath has 15+ years in various product management, marketing, and product development roles at Juniper Networks, Symantec, Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, Procket Networks (acquired by Cisco) and MIPS Technologies. Previously she led the New Business Incubation group at Juniper Networks where she is responsible for bringing disruptive technologies to market and creating new lines of businesses. Rekha also serves on the board of Fast Forward, an Accelerator for Tech Non-profits based in San Francisco and is a mentor with Techwomen, a US Dept. of State Initiative, for the past 5 years. She is an investor and advisor to start-ups at Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs (SA&E) as well as previously at StartX. She holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and MBA from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.
Sudha Srinivasan

Sudha Srinivasan is senior advisor in the healthcare sector, currently helping government agencies, nonprofits and technologists to advance community health outcomes through AI-powered digital coaches and virtual screening technology. She is a contributor to the India Health Stack initiatives at iSPIRT, a volunteer network of technologists building Digital Public Infrastructure for the global south. She is also a Co-Founder and Advisor at 2nd Careers, a pioneering learning and networking platform for professionals over 50. With a career spanning over two decades, Sudha has served as CEO, Centre for Social Innovation at The/Nudge Institute, prior to which she held leadership roles in the technology sector, most notably at Intel, Verizon and Infosys. Sudha is an engineer by training, and holds an MBA from IIM Lucknow.
Dr Neha Verma

Dr. Neha Verma is a digital Health professional with more than a decade of experience in the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of digital health & telemedicine projects. She has an MS and PhD in Health Informatics from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on telemedicine. Neha is an entrepreneur and currently the CEO of Intelehealth, a global technology nonprofit working to improve access to health where there is no doctor. She has authored several impactful publications on the implementation of digital health programs for frontline health workers with organizations such as the Global mHealth Initiative, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and UNICEF. Neha’s work focuses on advancing gender equity and improving women’s health access. She has been the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards including the Rainer Arnhold Fellowship, the Abell Foundation fellowship and recognized as a top entrepreneur by the Government of India (Niti Aayog) and Echoing Green.

Dr. Hema Diwakar (Ex-Chairperson of FOGSI)
Dr. Hema Divakar is a leading medical professional of India with a vision to improve the healthcare services ecosystem for the welfare of women. She has over the last three decades been a game changer in healthcare, establishing new benchmarks, standards and touching women’s lives in the process.
An accomplished specialist in the field of Obgyn care, she runs the Divakars speciality hospital in Bangalore. She was President FOGSI 2013 and had the responsibility of heading the Federation of Obstetric & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI), with 32,000 specialists on roll as the members. She is now the FOGSI ambassador for FIGO, the international organization of Obgyns. She received the FRCOG honorary fellowship by Royal College London. She is also the Vice Chair of the GDM working group at FIGO and FIGO Executive Board member.
With flaming enthusiasm, she has built a dynamic team of like minded members, by exploring the individual talent. She has prompted, prodded and promoted the youngsters to the center stage and enjoyed their success.
Dr. Adler Archer (CEO at Allasys, LLC, Doctor of Law, MS Mindfulness Neuroscience)
Adler Archer is a healthcare advocate and technology entrepreneur with a passion for making the healthcare industry more accessible, adaptable and accountable. Building on nearly two decades of success at DOD, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Allasys, Adler helps public sector organizations operate and communicate at their peak. He has provided strategy and technology solutions to clients ranging from innovative nonprofit start-ups in Brooklyn to European members of parliament in
Brussels.
Adler is also a proud veteran, having served on active duty in the US Air Force from 2000 – 2004. He has lobbied for important veterans’ causes including “Jail Diversion and Trauma Recovery” as well as “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal. Most recently, Adler launched Warrior Justice 501(c)(3). This nonprofit brings together medical and legal professionals to help ensure veterans receive comprehensive and collaborative support in alleviating health-harming legal and social issues.
Adler holds a doctoral degree (J.D.) in law from New York Law School, a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Mindfulness Neuroscience from Kings College London, a master’s degree (M.P.S.) in Organizational Communication from the University of Denver, and a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from Columbia College. Adler serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Maryland LGBT Chamber of Commerce and has been appointed to the Baltimore City Bar Association’s Health Law Committee as well as the Chase Brexton LGBT Health Resource Center Advisory Board. Adler is also a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, and American Health Lawyers Association.
Sara Pacque Margolis (Retired Global Health Executive)
A recently retired global health and international development executive, who is widely recognised for her innovation and impact in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Sara has held various leadership roles, including Senior Vice President for Strategy and Growth at Zenysis Technologies, Director for the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), Director of International Development at University Research Co., LLC (URC), and Director of Monitoring and Evaluation for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF).
Sara often jokes that she has a PhD “in USAID”, as she spent her early career working for USAID, including as a senior M&E and strategic planning advisor in the office the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (PEPFAR) and in the USAID Washington Offices of Field and Program Support, HIV/AIDS, Population and Reproductive Health. She held USAID field positions covering the Sahel region as a Research Policy Fellow and as the Population Advisor for USAID/Mali. She credits the five years she spent in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), including 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, for instilling in her a love of teaching, training and mentoring.
